"For the first years of childhood  - Imitation and Example

 - the magic words for education"     Rudolf Steiner.

Watch a child immersed in play,

You'll see again what you've done that day

For much is learnt by what is seen,

Observed, sensed, performed in a dream.

The little one wants to imitate

So watches intently as you sweep, sew or bake.

Make yourself worthy, keep intentions true

For little eyes are seeking and learning from you.

As a Steiner based kindergarten, rhythm and repetition hold the key to your child's feelings of security and comfort. Honouring the

cycles of the year with festivals and seasonal activities, knowing the days of the week by their given activity (e.g Monday becomes

Painting Day) and experiencing a daily rhythm through snack, walk, lunchtime and story-time all fosters a sense of confidence and

trust. The day unfolds in a known way leaving your child free to concentrate on the serious business of play, creativity and imagination.
